Liaising with the Department of Premier and Cabinet – Office of Protocol & Special Events (DPC), City of Sydney and Destination New South Wales over eight months, The Safety Officer calculated a safe occupant capacity for 6,000 people to enjoy a picnic sitting on grass especially laid on the bridge deck along with the logistics of temporary event infrastructure installation and removal, all within a 12 hour timeframe.
